Reflection Critical Thinking Portfolio Introduction This reflection will be an attempt to describe and consider more consciously the topic that I chose to investigate. I will explain in details the information that I have gathered in the portfolio. I chose to look at gender and why women are still held back in society. Gender inequality is defined as unequal treatment of individuals based on their gender. I will briefly discuss issues of unequal pay and sexual violence against women in the UK. The VARK questionnaire has 16 questions to help determine how an individual learns best. The VARK questionnaire was created by Neil D. Fleming (http://vark-learn.com/introduction-to-vark/) who was trying to figure out why some students that had the best teachers was unable to learn as much as they did from some teachers with questionable teaching skills. The VARK stands for the learning styles: V-visual, A-aural, R-reading/writing, and K-kinesthetic. The visual learner is a person that would be best taught by using some type of graphic form. The would use graphs or drawings or charts and learn by the results of a type of drawing. The aural learner is taught or best learn from listening and like to be informed by talking about what they are learning. The reading/writing learner is best taught by bullet points, and texts books. The kinesthetic learner is best taught by using all of the above teachings. They understand and learn by case studies and real life experiences.
